Governor DeWine Announces First of Round 2 Appalachian Community Grants

Governor DeWine, Lt. Governor Husted, and Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik today announced the first of Round 2 grants to be awarded through the Ohio Department of Development’s Appalachian Community Grant Program.

More than $350 million in remaining funding will be awarded in coming weeks to further revitalize the region and create an abundance of new opportunities for future generations. The Appalachian Children Coalition is receiving more than $64 million to significantly improve access to health care across many of Ohio’s Appalachian communities.
