The Monroe Theatre renovation in Woodsfield, Ohio, continues to gather momentum with a grant award to expand the balcony. The expansion will increase seating capacity for the Theater and provide more space on the second floor. Work already completed on the main floor includes demolition, painting, handicap accessible restrooms, and a concession area. The replacement for the roof is planned as well. Swiss Valley Associates assisted with design and permits for the restrooms and plans to begin working on the design for the balcony. A rendering of the balcony seating is below.
